It is stated in the historical data that Yao people began to move into Vietnam during the Ming Dynasty In 1982, there were 346000 Yao people mainly living in the mountainous regions of Sino-Vietnam or Sino-Laos .After 1975. because of the war ,,they , as refugees, escaped to Thailand ,then innigrated to Amercia , France and Canada Today there are over 400000Yaos abroad , who are successful in keeping their cultural tradition and defending their independent consciusness and strong coagulabiiity .
